A stitch in time saves nine
The literal meaning of this saying is that a timely stitch to a rent in our garment will mend it quickly and easily. But if we delay mending it, the rent will be bigger and then to mend it with a stitch will take much more time. Procrastination in dealing with that rent, or an attitude of dealing with that tomorrow, will worsen it, will make it bigger and bigger every day, and it will take much more time and effort than was necessary if we took it up immediately.
Metaphorically, it means that if any problem in our life starts off, we should try to address the problem immediately. But if we put off or procrastinate, the problem will grow bigger and more and more complex. A timely attempt to solve the problem in the very beginning might have taken a very small amount of time and effort; the problem might have been solved easily. But if we put it off for tomorrow, the tomorrow might never come, and many days would pass. The nature of things, especially of bad things, is to grow worse and worse every day. Even if we put off dealing with a problem, the problem would not remain static; it would grow bigger and bigger, and more and more complex. And solving it, when it has already grown unwieldy in size and complexity, would require much more time, energy, and effort than would have been necessary, had we taken it up in the very beginning. Or, even it is possible that the problem cannot be solved at all; it will then engulf our life, and we may be ruined.
As the proverb is true of the individual, it is also true of a nation. If any evil thing creeps into it, it should be removed immediately. If we fail four people will develop into a festering sore and eat into the vitals.
The proverb is a call to immediate action in case of any problem. It is a call for the individual as well as for the nation.
All that glitters is not gold
Gold is a shiny and glittery metal which is not only famous for its beautiful external appearance but also for its high intrinsic value. Glittering is not its one and only quality. There are many things in the world that have a beautiful external surface but they are not as valuable as gold. Even there are things which are beautiful in appearance but intrinsically bad. The proverbial expression "All that glitters is not gold" is said about those things which seem to be good on the surface but might not be good when they are looked at more closely. This expression teaches us not to be deceived by the beautiful surface of anything. We should always remember that there might be a difference between appearance and reality. Before adjudging anything to be good, we should not only consider its outer appearance but we should also look closely at it to see its inner quality. This proverbial expression is also applicable to human beings. We should not consider anybody to be a good human being on the basis of their fair complexion or attractive physical appearance. There is no guarantee that a good-looking person will always be a person of admirable character. A person may look very handsome or beautiful but his/her inherent quality may be bad. So the external appearance should not be the only criterion of goodness. A bad-looking person also may possess admirable human qualities. However, if a person is good both externally and internally he or she may be compared with gold. An attractive external appearance and a high intrinsic value both are necessary for a really valuable person or thing.

As you sow, so shall you reap
Our life is the result of what we have done in past. If we have performed good jobs we get its fruits in the enjoyment of life. If we have performed bad jobs, we suffer pains in various disadvantageous situations. No event is uncaused in the world. All events are caused by past actions. There is an essential connection between cause and effect. The result is always consistent with the cause. It is true for physical as well as moral world. Good action causes good result and bad action causes bad result. It is a universal moral principle. If a student neglects his lessons, he will secure poor scores, which will lead to a low profile career. On the other hand, if a student studies properly, he will have high scores, which will ensure him good employment. Similarly, in the career, if one performs his responsibilities properly, he will be rewarded with promotion. But the neglects his duties or somehow indulges in corruptione hand dishen punished with termination. Honesty grin in peace in life of labour has a brings grief. As one sows sosty brings The volume of labour has also connection with the nature of reaps Hard labour produces success and laziness produces fat of result farmer who takes good care of his corn field will get good harvest. On the other hand, if he does not prepare his land with ploughing spread low quality seed and does not irrigate and not use manure as required is sure to get a poor harvest. A particular kind of result comes as a consequence of a particular kind of action. One who is regretting now must have done something which was not appropriate. Those who now laugh might have done something which was beneficial for him and others. Therefore wise persons always perform job reckoning the future consequence of it.
Birds of a feather flock together
Human beings are social animals and they love to live in close association with one another. But it is to be noted that a particular kind of person likes the association of his own kind, and not of other kinds. An honest person likes other honest persons. Similarly, a dishonest person likes other dishonest persons. They form network among themselves and keep close connection. Thieves or robbers may form gangs and conduct their sinister operations. The relationship among the miscreants is close-knit and they work in nexus with one another. That is why the proverb: 'Birds of a feather flock together'. A crow flies with other crows as a kite with other kites. This may be observed in the behaviour of most other animals. Members of the same species live and move together. It is the pattern of social life. The pattern is found in small animals like ants and bees and in large animals like lions and elephants. In human society also we find the same thing. A smoker mixes with another smoker; a drunkard mixes with another drunkard. A corrupt official makes connection with other bribe takers. The smugglers have secret cooperation among themselves. This kind of association is also true for good fellows. An artist likes to keep another artist's company; a poet likes the company of a person who has got poetic sense. The flocking spirit' is universal. This spirit gives rise to different professional groups or associations. So we see the associations of lawyers, doctors, engineers, teachers and traders. Human beings highly value group identity. They love to belong to a group consisting of the members of the same category. There is another aspect of this grouping. The nature of a person may also be identified That is why it is said that a known from the company he keeps.
